Name: (left) Afya (right) Anwar
Species: Albino Honduran Milk Snake.
Occupation: Fortune Teller/Sorceress
Bio: Afya and Anwar were born to a wealthy silk merchant and his lovely wife. But upon their hatching, their father, disgusted and horrified at what he had beheld, cast his daughters away. He would not be seen as a laughing stock to his friends and family! The dishonor of having sired a freak of nature! And so they were abandoned, left to die out in the desert by his servant. But their mother set out in the dead of night to take her daughters to a band of traveling gypsies that had come to the kingdom, begging them to take her poor children into their care. Being cast-outs themselves, they took pity upon the mother and readily took the girls, promising to care for them as their own. And while they grew, the caravan came to notice a very peculiar thing of these two girls... They seemed to have the knack for foretelling certain events. Whether it would be good weather or bad for traveling, who would be sick, who would be with child, who would come to a sudden fortune and even who would come to their ultimate demise. At first they had thought it was merely a lucky guess or perhaps they had overheard someone who had mentioned said event and they would make up silly stories for their amusement. But more often than not, their predictions would come to be and soon they learned that these two girls were blessed with the gift of foresight. Afya, the happy child, could foretell the misfortunes of others, while Anwar, the much serious and sensible one, could foretell the good fortunes. And for the next 15 years they were taught the ways of fortune telling to accurately predict their fortunes with the use of tarot cards, palm reading and even how to read scales (a very rare skill and not easily taught). Along with these skills they were taught the art of healing and curses, as a mean of protections; most of their curses would take effect three days after the curse is placed (the severity of the curses depended on the severity of the transgression made upon them). So when they reached their 23rd year, they set out on their own to make a life for themselves, returning to the Kingdom and setting up their own shop there, offering healing potions, those who seek their fortune or those whom wish to seek revenge (curses are normally only given at the cost of a prized possession of their choosing). And they have done wonders on their own. So come in, won't you? Sit a while, rest a spell and if you're lucky, perhaps you will leave with a little insight onto your future.
Extra: Born with Polycephaly, a condition where one body shares two heads. They are identical feature wise, but certainly not in personality. Afya (it means shadow in arabic) is far more cheerful than her sister, despite being the one who foretells bad fortune. Where as Anwar (arabic for light) whom is far more sensible, foretells good fortune. They consider themselves chaotic neutral and do not perform curses simply because they are asked to. And their potions are very well. They are neither good nor are they bad. However, they are somewhat vindictive and will not hesitate to place a curse upon those who would seek to do them harm
or ridicule their appearance
. Also, when they receive a vision, they recite it in verse (quite a whimsical habit they have for the sake of fun)
